It's cold outside and I'm tired of shoveling snow...thawing some organic ribeyes for the egg tonight NO MATTER HOW MUCH SNOW OR ICE I HAVE TO CHIP AWAY TO GET TO THE EGG!!!!! So,instead of doing something on my 'honey do' list, I'm spending the day cleaning up my blog, some recipies, etc...and sharing with friends on the forum. Have a great Superbowl Weekend!

Big Green Egg Large Table (Winterizing)
Had a hour to kill this morning before we leave for the MIZZOU game against Colorado so I decided it would be a good time to clean the BGE table and winterize it with a new coat of stain.
I realized that while many people have named their Eggs' (mine is still sans name) I don't recall anyone naming their tables, so I coined the name 'The Chuck-Wagon' today...all I need is a small dinner bell and a conestoga cover and and hitch, ha. (I am looking for a small dinner bell!)
It sits under a porch roof and under a cover (when I am not too lazy to cover it) but you know we'll cook on it rain, shine or snow, so keeping it up to par is key. Anyone remember when I first joined the forum and posted my 30 hour table build (start to finish and first use)? Its out there in my earlier (2008) blogs...ADHD carpentry at it's best, Ha!

Big Green Egg Table Project NEVER ENDS!
Okay, you all know by now (if you own a BGE that is) that this is an obsession. You cannot have too many toys to support your BGE and since I had one last piece of Cedar lying around after making the handles for my BGE and my new Spatula; I could not just let it sit there.
So I got out my grinder and ground off the spring handle on the BGE ash tool and made this modification last night...
...again, you all know that you cannot have too many toys for your BGE.

...can you have TOO MUCH cookware for your Big Green Egg?
(NOT) My last trip to Sur La Table ended up costing me a few bucks...however the BARGAIN I did get was this terracotta cooking pan (good for cooks on open flames)...the recipe is the same ol' Antipasto I've posted before...but the cookware...for $10, was OUTSTANDING; nothing stuck, the Veggies steamed up really nice, cleaned up with a sponge.
