Walking Taco's for Tailgating

At today's tailgate party we prepared Walking Taco's.  This photo shows the poster I created to all a little flare to the process.  We did cook the ground beef at the tailgate, and chopped all the veggies but this could easily be done ahead of time for parties.  Probably the simplest but most satisfying meal we've done for a game this year, nearly 50 bags of Frito's disappeared by game-time.

Ingredients
4 Lbs. of Fresh ground beef 85-15 or better
4 Packages of Taco Seasoning (you're favorite brand will do fine)
Water
50 - 1 Oz. Bags of Frito's
Chunky Medium Salsa (again, pick your favorite brand)
Scissors...

Condiment list recommendations (sliced or diced as appropriate)
Green Onions
Tomato
Shredded Cheddar cheese
Tabasco
Re-fried Beans
Guacamole
Jalapeno
Salsa
Shredded Lettuce

Directions
1. Brown Hamburger (for our party we were working with a small grill so we prepared one pound at a time.
2. Add 1/2 - 3/4 Cup water and a packet Taco Seasoning
3. Simmer covered for 5 minutes and it's ready for serving with your favorite condiments.

Serving (see poster for directions!)

  1. This makes me think of my favorite local fast food - Petros: chili, cheese, black olives, tomatoes, green onions, sour cream, and fritos.
